In the early 19th century, Pittsburgh’s “Strip”—a one-half mile strip of land near the Allegheny River—was a thriving industrial and market center. It housed produce markets and such industrial giants as U.S. Steel, Westinghouse and the H.J. Heinz Company. Today, the Strip has transitioned to a unique and diverse shopping and dining district. The Vision on Fifteenth is an eight-story mixed-use facility located in the Strip.

The building is designed to reflect the area’s industrial feel, to offer a variety of dynamic spaces, and to maximize views of the river and downtown. Its mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) systems are designed to keep the building’s office, retail, laboratory and R&D tenants safe, secure, comfortable and connected.

McKim & Creed designed HVAC, plumbing, fire protection and electrical systems that include normal power, emergency egress lighting, building and site lighting, conduit and wiring for security, access systems, CCTV and data/telecom systems. The Vision on Fifteenth reflects the rich heritage and the transitional character of the Strip.
