The Nash Library Modernization project included a complete redesign of the existing facility to accommodate the changing functions of a university library. The library has become a focal point: a place to socialize, to work collaboratively, to connect the community to technology and knowledge, while continuing to be the source of information. Two new entrances were added to the north and south ends of the building to replace the original side entrance, and walls of windows replaced the dark enclosed spaces. The 87,400 SF building provides a variety of spaces for study including tables, lounge-type furniture, private study carrels, and group study rooms with state-of- the-art technology. The architect for this project is Buehler & Associates Inc.
