The UPMC Hampton Outpatient Center included a three-story glass atrium and was designed to meet USGBC LEED standards to achieve certification. There are 31-exam rooms located on the first floor that are dedicated to primary care, women’s health and pediatric services. The outpatient center also includes a walk-in clinic, lab testing, imaging services, mammograms, physical, occupational, and speech therapies and behavioral health care. In addition, UPMC Hampton features Austin’s Playroom, a children’s activity area sponsored by the Mario Lemieux Foundation. McKim & Creed provided design services for HVAC, plumbing and fire protection systems, as well as electrical systems including normal and emergency power, building and site lighting, and conduit and wiring for security, access systems, CCTV, and data/telecom systems.
