McKim & Creed was hired by AHN’s general contractor to serve as the engineer for mechanical, electrical, and IT cabling upgrades at five (5) hospital locations, including, Grove City Hospital.  This included establishing new telecom rooms for re-cabling the Hospital, including new HVAC units, addition of both normal and emergency/UPS power distribution to each Telecom room, lighting, telecom racks, patch panels, cable trays, cable Management, fire alarm, sprinklers, and grounding.

The entire Hospital IT infrastructure is re-cabled using blown fiber backbone to redundant Core telecom rooms, multi-pair copper backbone, and new Category 6 horizontal cabling to all voice/data and wireless access point locations.  The General Contractor budgeted the project using early input from the MEP design team, then put the project out to bid to various sub-contractors including the Owner’s preferred cabling vendors, mechanical and electrical sub-contractors.
